I am so thrilled to invite Fiona Dawson onto the podcast today.  In this Table Talks episode, we will hear Fiona's story, talk about her fantastic book, and discuss some practical lessons I think we should all take to heart.  If you don't already know who "Auntie Fiona" is, she is an Emmy®-nominated and award-winning filmmaker. She is a proud bisexual, cisgender, immigrant woman from the LGBTQ+ community who uses media to advocate for equality. Bi Talks: Why do Older Bisexuals suffer such alarming degrees of mental illness?

    November 29, 2022 /

Studies show us that the Bisexual community does suffer mental illness at a higher degree than does any other sector of the queer community; and although there are many suggestions why, the reasons can still be debated.  So, with this in mind, I decided to reflect on my 30+ years of experience and my own personal life as a bisexual man to suggest some reasons why.  To do so, I use an acrostic: "TRAP."  Why?  Because many of the older (silver) bisexuals I have worked with over all these years often use that word or something similar to describe their feelings and situation in life.  So, I decided to use…

Bisexual Talks: My partner is feeling insecure

    September 20, 2022 /

This is something that I have heard hundreds of times within my work.  I have even heard it from my own spouse.  It's a real thing and it's a real issue to deal with.  Today, on this Bi Talks episode of Coffee with Keith, I want to use the word "love" as an acrostic to share 4 simple actions to incorporate into this situation.  Remember, it is very likely that your partner will feel moments of insecurity because of your bisexuality.  I am simply encouraging you to be proactive in your relationship. Now, I know there are many nuances among relationships out there but I do feel that doing these…

    February 4, 2022 /

Today, my special guest is Life Coach and Pastor, Brandy Kizer.  Brandy is an American born southern girl, with sweet tea running through her veins.  Her greatest passion is making it impossible for others to not know Jesus.  After work hours, you can probably find Brandy tucked away reading, at a gem show, or planning her next big adventure. In this episode, we chat about her journey from being a Southern Baptist Church girl in Alabama to a missionary working in Los Angeles to now, an engaged bisexual life coach and pastor residing in Canada.  It's quiet a journey so hang on. I really think you will enjoy my chat…
