Table Talks: Honoring those lost at Club Q

    November 29, 2022 /

This is a very short, and modified, episode of Coffee with Keith.  It is not the scheduled episode but one I recorded from the heart.  I wanted to just speak to the horrific event that happened at Club Q in Colorado Springs.  I tried not to ramble but I must confess that it was a hard one to cut.  The entire community mourns and for many, their days are now much more fearful.  I get it.  So, thank you for listening to this old bi guy share from his heart.  In memory of Kelly Loving, Daniel Ashton, Derrick Rump, Ashley Pough, and Raymond Green Vance.  May God bless us all. …

Table Talks: Some Lesson Learned with Gay Christian, Matt Linden

    November 10, 2022 /

I am so very excited to again invite Matt Linden to the podcast.  This is Matt's third visit to Coffee with Keith and this gave us a chance to catch up and gave Matt a chance to share three lessons that he has really learned over the last 12-18 mos. of his queer, Christian journey.  Matt Linden is a gay Christian from Tacoma, Washington. He’s a church kid who grew up in a conservative non-denominational environment – so when he realized he was gay at 13, a 21-year battle began to reconcile his faith with his sexuality. He was a member and Community Group leader at Mars Hill Church in…

Table Talks with Mark Thompson: A Minister and Advocate that “Came out” at 50

    July 28, 2022 /

I have a real treat for you on today's Table Talks edition of Coffee with Keith.  My guest today is the Rev Mark Thompson.  Mark, father, grandfather, pastor, and social activist, lives in St Ignance, Mich.  He is an Elder in the Michigan Conference of the United Methodist Church, having served for 35 years.  He cam out at the age of 50 after realizing that being in the closet was leading to more suicidal ideation.  After coming out, he was able to be a stronger advocate, leading the way for more queer clergy and others to feel safe and to live authentic lives.  His advocacy involves creating "safe space" for…
